jalsa continues to rule succesfully

The year 2008 started on a rather lean note. Big films like Okkamogadu were bombed at the box office. Only Ravi Teja’s Krishna made it big at the box office in the first four months of this year. But Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa changed the scene altogether.

1. Jalsa
Jalsa continues to do well at the box office. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Ileana, Parvathi Melton. Prakash Raj and Brahmnandam in prominent roles. Devi Sree Prasad’s music, Trivikram’s direction and Allu Aravinds’s lavish production values have put Jalsa on top for the fourth successive week.

2. Bommana-Chandana
The film Bommana Brothers and Chandana Sisters starring Krishna Bhagavan, Allari Naresh, Farzana and Riddhima in the lead is continuing to draw crowds thanks to the comedy and some good music. The one-liners by Naresh and the typical Krishna Bhagawan comedy is drawing applause particularly from the front benches.

3. Michael Madana Kamaraju
The Sunil, Srikanth and Prabhu Deva starrer Michael Madana Kamaraju opened to some mixed talk. However, the hot and exposing scenes by Charmy and Asha Saini’s liberal skin show are attracting some crowds. The film stands at the third place.

4. Bhale Dongalu
Bhale Dongalu opened to some big promise. The names of Tarun and Ileana coupled with Vijayabhaskar raised the audience’s expectations to a considerable extent. The film is okay but is slowly petering out by way of collections. It now stands in the fourth place.

5. Gamyam
Krish’s Gamyam is the surprise hit of the year. The film starring Allari Naresh, Sharawanand and Kamalini Mukherjee continues to draw in the crowds. The refreshingly different theme is attracting the viewers. The film holds on to the fifth pot this week.
