Hansika priases NTR kantri

Monday, May 5th, 2008

For many finding their ‘true-calling’ can be a life-long pursuit (an unending one sometimes) but for a lucky few like Hansika Motwani it seems as if their true calling finds them!

From being a prodigious child artiste not so long ago, Hansika has already acted in three films - Desamuduru (Telugu), Aap Ka Suroor (Hindi) and Bindaas (Kannada) all that at just sixteen years of age.
Having made a great impression already with Desamuduru, Hansika is hopeful of making it two in a row with Kantri.

“I have great expectations from the film. It is an action-packed love story that has been shot in some of the most pristine locations in South Africa. I am sure the film will strike the right chord with the audience,” says Hansika. When asked about her experience of working with NTR, the actress is all praise for her co-star. “He is such a powerhouse of an actor, a thorough professional and a gentleman. It was a pleasure to work with him. He’s done a fabulous job in the film,” she shares.

For now though Hansika is tied up with the shooting of Money Hai To Honey Hai in which she is plays the lead opposite Govinda. However, all the travelling does not seem to bother her and she even manages to pack college into her busy schedule. “When I am not tied up with work I love nothing more than going to college and catching up with friends. I have a normal life otherwise, but I love the show business. I love to entertain people, and am enjoying every moment of it,” she declares.Given a choice what would she prefer to do, Hindi films or regional films? “As an actress all I am concerned about is the script and my role, and it really does not matter which language the film is made in because a good film will always be a good film no matter what language it is made in. But Tollywood will always be close to my heart as I made my debut here and would love to come back to work here again,” she signs off.

Hansika favourite hero !

Guess who Hansika’s favourite hero is?

Though just 16 (atleast that’s what she claims to be) HANSIKA is fast proving to be hot stuff. For starters, she has learnt the art of stardom and success and how to draw attention. Not bad, considering it’s not even a year since her film Aap Ka Suroor released. But mind it! This kiddo has a mind of her own. Ask her about her favourite movie of 2007 and without batting an eyelid she replies, “Guru.” Now that is an exceptional choice for the best movie. Wait, there is more to it, guess who her favourite Indian actor is? DEV ANAND! By the way, is Miss Motwani looking for a role in Main Solah Baras Ki Part 2?

Hansika, who played heroine in ‘Aap Ka Suroor’, was selected as heroine for ‘Desamuduru’ opposite Allu Arjun. While ‘Aap Ka Suroor’, the debut film of Himesh Reshammiya as hero was a big hit, everyone started looking at this girl.

Moreover, her Telugu film ‘Desamuduru’ was also proved a blockbuster. This had doubled her chances all over the world and she earned a lot of fan following too.

However, she had sets her eyes only on Bollywood and did not accept any offer by any other Telugu producer.

After a considerable gap, somehow she agreed to play in a Telugu film ‘Kantri’ at a huge remuneration. As the shooting of the film was completed, producers again started chasing her.

But, this time, she is saying a firm no to all the offers as she had signed four Bollywood films on big banners.

Mom’s word is everything to Hansika

Another girl who is making her moves slowly and steadily is Hansika Motwani and she is not taking any chances. She is being extremely choosy about the projects she selects and has a shrewd manager in her mother who guides her in all her professional moves.

Whatever the media may say about her mother, she is firm in the belief that Mum Mona is the best thing to have happened to her career. And having a mother to guide you at home, with all her professional moves, we guess Hansika has nothing to worry about. Now this is what we call, cost cutting and multi-tasking!
