After ‘Athidhi’, Maheshbabu is playing hero under Trivikram’s direction to be produced by Singanamala Ramesh on the banner of Sri Kanakadurga Movies.

Trisha is playing the female lead in this film and the regular shooting would begin in June.

After this film, Maheshbabu is planning to act in a film to be directed by Gautham Menon of Venkatesh-starrer ‘Gharshana’-fame.

UTV Motion Pictures and Indira Productions Pvt Ltd., of Manjula are jointly producing the film. The film is most likely to go to sets by the end of this year.

Gautham Menon had recently completed a Tamil film ‘Varanam Aayiram’ with Surya as hero.

Producer Singamala Ramesh is making two big budget films in Telugu. One is with Pawan Kalyan and SJ Surya and the film is titled as Puli.

And another film is with Mahesh and Trivikram Sreenivas , to be titled as Varudu.

Producer is paying Rs 8 crores to Mahesh Babu as remuneration, and Pawan is paid only Rs 6 crores. Both the films are estimated to cost around Rs60 crores for the producer.

Producer Singamala Ramesh is making a film Varudu with Trivikram Sreenivas . As for filmnagar sources, Producer is paying Rs8 crores for Mahesh Babu for this film as remuneration.

Director Trivikram Sreenivas is taking Rs4.5crores as remuneration. The total budget for making this film is estimated as Rs30 crores.

Shooting of a film with Maheshbabu as hero and Trisha as heroine produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the direction of popular writer cum director Trivikram Srinivas was launched at Padmalaya Studios in Hyderabad on April 30.

The forthcoming Maheshbabu starrer, to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is likely to go to sets in June. Maheshbabu, who rewrote the history of the 75-year-old Telugu cinema by registering record collections in ‘Pokiri’, failed to match the expectations with his films like ‘Sainikudu’ and ‘Atithi’. He now kept high hopes on Trivikram Srinivas, whose latest release ‘Jalsa’ was creating ripples in the Telugu film industry.

The Maheshbabu-Trivikram combo is likely to be produced by Singanamala Ramesh. The film is most likely to role from June this year and the producer is making efforts to release the film as a Sankranthi gift in 2009. The producer is trying to grab the dates of Ileana for the film, but the heroine is yet to sign the dotted line. It is worth mentioning here that the combination of Maheshbabu and Ileana was proved a hit with ‘Pokiri’.

Mahesh Babu was attending Thums up promotion camp today and when media asked to react to the rumors of he campaigning for Congress in the next assembly elections, Mahesh Babu strongly condemned the rumors and said ‘ I don’t even know the difference between MLA and MP.’.
