Rabbaru Gajulu number from NTR’s Yamadonga has become a rage. And now its singer and well-known Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi will be lending his voice for superstar Rajinikanth in Kuselan. Young music composer G.V.Prakash managed to rope in the Punjabi singer for a duet, which will be filmed on Rajinikanth and Nayanthara at the film city in Hyderabad. Apparently, the producers of the movie have paid Daler a whopping amount. Kavitha Krishnamoorthy will sing with him. “I have known Daler for quite sometime now. For this particular tune, which is set in rap and folk style, I wanted to try out a new voice for Rajini sir and that’s how I thought of Daler. Despite his busy schedule, he has agreed to sing for us and it will be recorded in Delhi soon,” said the music director.

Dark clouds have loomed over Rajni and Mohan Babu’s friendship. They have been thick friends for years, but of late things are not as good as they used to be. Rajni seems to be unhappy with Mohan Babu. This was of course clear when, the superstar made sarcastic comments on Mohan babu at the launch of his film under the direction of P.Vasu recently in Hyderabad.

Now it is even more evident. Rajnikanth was the chief guest of the audio launch (held on April 18, 2008) of Puri Jagannadh directed Bujjigaadu Made in Chennai. Mohan Babu was missing, and the best part is that he happens to be main character of the film. Mohan Babu was in Hyderabad while Rajnikant in Chennai launched the audio. The function was held at the at Andhra Cultural Association premises in Chennai.

When enquired about Mohan Babu’s absence, director Puri said, “Mohan Babu could not attend the function due to personal problems. Both Rajnikant and Mohan Babu are great friends and it would have been great had we seen them together on this dias.”

Is she or not? There have been many speculations about Aishwarya’s presence in Shankar-Rajinikanth’s Robot. Two days back there were rumors that Aish may not do Shankar’s Robot. But her recent interview says that she is doing Robot and she is doing it because of Rajinikanth. “I want to work with Rajni sir, yaar. He is phenomenal. Everyone speaks of this experience. I’ll actually go through the experience. It’s very important for me to come away with something from my films since I give so much,” said Ash in an interview. “It’s a total Rajni-Shankar styled entertainer. There’s no logic as to why I agreed to do it beyond the urge to work with Rajnikanth. Shankar and Rajni sir have approached me for so many films, it’s embarrassing. Ever since we did Jeans together Shankar has approached me for all his films except Boys. Rajni sir, being the senior that he is, has shown no egoistic traits in approaching me for his last four-five films. And my refusal to do his films was never misconstrued by him. I admire him for that. It speaks volumes for his seniority and his calibre as a human being to never take offence to my no,” she added. When asked about the story of the film, “It is hard to define. But technically it will take cinema to another level. I can only say I’ll come away enriched. It’s very important for me to come away with something from my films since I give so much. The much sought after Aishwarya Rai, who has been turning down movies for more than just lack of time, says she accepted Rajnikanth starrer Robot because she just wanted opposite him.” she said.

Tarakarathna- Mohana Krishna’s son is likely to get married before November this year. And his parents are looking for a bride for Tarakaratna.

Now the latest filmnagar rumors say that talks are on between the families of Tamil Super star Rajini Kanth and Nandamuri Mohan Krishna. If this rumor is true, Rajinkanth’s daughter Soundarya will marry Tarakaratna.Tarakarathna is doing films likely Mikkanti and Venkatadri with director Samudra right now.

Tamil superstar Rajinikant will be romancing five heroines in his current film, Kucheludu.

He already has got Nayanatara as his leading lady but apart from her, he will be shaking a leg with four more heroines in a song to be shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Mamta Mohandas has already signed for it as one of the actresses. The buzz is that Sneha is also being considered.

Currently, the film’s shooting is progressing at rapid pace at the special set erected at RFC. The film, directed by P Vasu, is shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Kucheludu went on floors recently at Hyderabad when the news of the sudden demise of Raghuvaran reached the sets there. When super star heard the news, he was shell shocked for words. The duo has acted in many films, sometimes on the same side while in some films on the opposite camps. Superstar was drowned in sorrow and could not come to terms with Raghuvaran’s death. The entire unit observed two minute silence to mourn the death of the versatile actor.

Following this, on March 20th, Shoban Babu died while performing yoga at his residence. This news also upset the Rajini who seemed to have no words to express his sorrow. Shoban Babu’s death was also mourned by the unit.

It’s not more of a biography , rather a fan’s admiration of Rajinikanth that has been well mixed with glowing tributes from his friends and well wishers .

One thing that irked me was the cover of the book , I mean there are numerous pictures of this man ,The rebellious one , the romantic one , The villainousness one , yet the author chose to put up a masala picture as the cover design . Rather does she implictly say that’s what been Rajinikanth has been forced and turned into ?

The one striking aspect is she also brings about the negative side of Rajinikanth , be it is his arrogance with stardom , or his helplessness with spirituality , his lovetorn youth .

In 1978- 1979, I was busy in Tamil and Telugu films, I was facing problems to travel between Chennai and Hyderabad. Balachander asked me to choose one language to act, A Telugu Friend advised me to settle in Tamil, saying that there was lot of politics in Telugu industry. But I came to know the reality (laughs) that Friend sent me to Tamil industry to avoid my competition in Tollywood’ That friend is none other than Mohan Babu..

In 1976, I did Annadammula sawal and then Iddharu asadhyule- that time producers offered me 1.50 acres land in jubilee hills as remuneration, I said ok to the producers, but same friend said ‘ What will you do this rock land, the producers are trying to deceive you, you take money from producers and leave the place’. Even this friend is Mohanbabu.

Rajinikant was very happy with the warm welcome and huge response that his return to Telugu films had got him. He said it was nice to do a film after many decades for Aswini Dutt who was known for his glitzy and mega budget films.

He recollected how NTR and ANR had come to the launch of his film ‘Pedarayudu’ and how the film went on to become a super hit.

He added that when good hearted people came together, a film’s success was assured, as was the case with his latest film, where megastar, Dasari, Venkatesh, Ram Charan and others came in to wish him and his team all success.
