Shekar Kammula is directing a movie titled ‘Aavakaaya Biryani’ is already a known information, it was stated that they are evaluating heroine for the movie, they have shortlisted Bindu as heroine for this movie which is produced under the banner of Amigos Creations. Bindu is a Telugu girl from Chennai. Hero for this flick is being evaluated. This flick would come on sets soon.
The Nandi awards for the year 2006 have been announced. ‘Navarasa Samrat’ Nagarjuna won the Best Leading Actor award for his role in Sree Ramadasu, while Kamli fetched the Best Leading Actress award for Nandita Das.
Sree Ramadasu also won the Best Home Viewing Feature Film Award. The first best feature film award was bagged by Bommarillu. Godavari was adjudged the second best feature film, while Ganga earned the bronze Nandi for the third best film award.
The Sarojini Naidu Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration went for Hanumanthu directed by Chandra Mahesh, while the Maheshbabu-starrer Pokiri has been declared the Best Popular Feature Film.
In the category of children’s films, Bharathi was awarded the First Best Children’s Film award and the Second Best Children’s Film was Kittu.
Director Shekar Kammula’s experimented with fresh faces and made a huge hit film happydays. Panel animation Studio is coming up with comic roles of the Happy Day’s characters
On the eve of this, the Panel animation has organized a press meet and it was attended by Rana Daggupati, Shekar Kammula, Nithin Siddham Setty and Rudra Matsa.
Speaking on the occasion, Shekar said ‘Whe I started this film, I never thought of going for animation. The film is a big hit and when Panel animation contacted me for making animated comic roles of the characters in the film, I immediately accepted. It is an innovative idea and I wish all the success for Panel animation team’.
Rana Daggupati (son of Suresh Babu) expressed his happiness being a part of this program.
Panel animation made a comic serial little Pandavas earlier. That was in only English. But this time they are making happy Days in Telugu and English’.
Director Shekar Kammula is a hotshot director. He is now easily the most sought after director in Tollywood. He gave a super duper hit with an almost all new star cast with ‘Happy Days’. The film is one of the biggest hits of 2007. But Shekar Kammula is a very levelheaded guy and is not carried away easily.
Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and several others have expressed their interest to star in a film under his direction. Shekar is exploring various options. He feels that directing big heroes is very difficult. They all come with a heavy baggage of a big pre-set image. They also carry the burden of the expectations of their fans. It is not an easy task to live up to the expectations of the fans of big stars, says Shekar. Balakrishna’s film ‘Okka Mogadu’ is a recent example.
Shekar Kammula was presented with K V Reddy award in Hyderabad the other day. Akkineni Nageswara Rao presented the award to Shekar Kammula at a glittering function at the Tyagaraya Gana Sabha in Hyderabad. The Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society organized the function. It is well known that Shekar studied in CBIT.
Mahesh will be doing two films for this year but those films will be releasing only in the year 2009.
One film will be with Trivikram Sreenivas and this film Varudu- Vadhuvu Kaavalenu will begin to roll from April and planned to release for Sankranthi 2009. And at the same time Mahesh start working for Shekar Kammula’s film from December 2008 and release in mid 2009.
Prince Mahesh fans will be disappointed as there will be no release of their handsome hero’s film in the year 2008.
Director Shekar Kammuala has become a star director with his Happy Days. The film has completed 100 days in all the centers that was released.
Shekar is coming up with a film titled Aavakaaya Biryani with his executive producer Avinash as director. Avinash is making his debut as director. This film would be made with all new faces. The talent hunt is already on and if everything goes as for the plans, the film would be launched in February.
As for the film nagar sources, Mahesh Babu is likely to work with Happy Days director Shekar Kammuala.
Mahesh Babu who acted in action films like Athidhi and Sainikidu likes to go with a film aiming at youth and families.
And Shekar narrated a script of such backdrop and Mahesh has nodded his approval for this subject.
Mahesh is providing 90 days call sheets to Shekar for this film. And 40 days shoot will take place in Dallas, USA from February. And the film is planned to release in May as summer release.
Either Indira Productions banner of Manjula or Amigos creations banner is likely to produce this film.
