Just because he has fought villains onscreen?? Just because he has stood against corruption as a protagonist of a film?? Just becuase there’s no actor to match his popularity?? If these are reasons why Chiru or for that matter any film star becomes a CM of a state, it has to be said that it would be a reflection of our state of democracy. Sure, enough the film star in question supports blood banks, eye banks, fights for corruption in movies, is loved and adored by his fans… but then being a socially conscious citizen and being a good enough statesmen is like chalk and cheese.
Does Chiru have it in him to be able to balance the caste equations in the state, is he competent enough to lead a state - its economy, welfare not to forget the realpolitik of it all is a matter that cannot be judged by his silver screen performance.
Like everyone he needs to prove himself… not just as a politician with a tinseltown charisma but also as a stateman of integrity, honor and service… so whether or not he becomes a CM the fore mentioned factors would determine how long people would wish him to be the CM (after he gets there that is…)

It was told by SS Rajamouli that he is planning to remake the famous 1977 film ‘Dana Veera Sura Karna’. His obvious choice for the role would be Jr NTR. But before acting for a celluloid product, he is unknowingly playing that role in real life. Chandra Babu Naidu pulled him into his campaign and made him a Kaliyuga Karna. Nagarjuna’s nephew Sushanth is being introduced to Tollywood as hero and the film is to be titled as Kalidasu .

He will be introduced to media in a big way at the end of this month in a function to be held in Hyderabad. Nagarjuna is closely monitoring the entire film.

Huge hoardings showing Kalidasu are already placed in various towns and cities of AP. But they didn’t reveal the face of the hero Sushanth.

Bapu has intermixed politics and family problems in the film. There is a lot of reference to the present day politics in the film. For this purpose Bapu introduced a character Kota (Kota Srinivasa Rao) in the film. Kota aspires for the Chief Minister’s post and he is seen all the time lobbying for it.

The father of heroine Charmy in the film, Sunil Sharma, is another aspirant for the chief minister’s post. Both Kota and Sunil Sharma vie keenly for the chief minister’s chair.

In the climax, Sunil Sharma finally manages to sideline Kota and gets within striking distance of the chief minister’s chair.

However to the surprise of everyone, Sunil Sharma relinquishes the chair. He gives a reason for this by saying, “How can a person who neglects his daughter and does not take care about her, could look after people’s problems sitting in the post of Chief Minister?

Many among the audience were seen shouting Chiranjeevi and Srija! This is an obvious reference to Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija’s love marriage. She ran away from home and got married with her lover. Chiranjeevi could not do anything about it except remaining like a mute spectator. In fact she is not entertained by Chiranjeevi after her marriage.

All Tollywood Top heroes’ films are very much disappointing at the box office. And producers are looking towards lady oriented subjects with heroine in the main lead role.

If we look in to the films like Anasuya, Mantra- Bhoomika and Charmy played title roles.And the films proved at the box office. The remuneration paid to these heroines is more that of the heroes who played lead role in those films.

Now Ileana is taking a Crore of rupees for thief role in Bhale Dongalu with Tarun, the remuneration of Ileana is more than Tarun.

The film Mr. Medhavi directed by Neelakanta hit the screens today. Raja and Genelia is the lead pair. The film is a love story with a slight twist in the presentation. The director gave the title as ‘Mr. Medhavi’. So we all assume that the hero is Mr. Medhavi.

Medhavi means an intellectual or a genius. But the hero, Raja is not exactly an intellectual or a genius. He is plain street smart. He is actually a cunning fellow who takes advantage if gullible to further his cause. By no account can we term him as Medhavi. He is just plain smart, cunning, cold and calculative, selfish etc. Bit not a Medhavi by any stretch of imagination.

On the other hands, Genelia, with her sharp brain and caring nature is the real Medhavi in the film. She brings about a change in the attitude and way of thinking in the hero. She accomplishes all this without giving an inkling of doubt to the hero. Even the audience is kept guessing till the end. So it would have been more appropriate if the title had been given as ‘Miss Medhavi’ and not Mr. Medhavi.
